Our Parents and Friends organisation not only provides strong financial support to St Brigid's but is active in our daily school life. The P&F meets regularly in the school staff room and always welcomes new participants.
Bi-annually our P&F runs the school fete. This is an opportunity for them to raise funds but also for the community of parents and friends to socialise Many friends from the wider community come together to enjoy stalls such as the chocolate wheel, cake stall, craft stall and chocolate toss just to name a few. A selection of dishes from a range of food stalls ensures that families gather for dinner in the grounds.
Every other year the school holds a walkathon, where students gather sponsorship and walk an assigned track around the Coonamble township to raise money. The students also have a voice in how this money is spent and the members of the P&F executive meet with them to discuss this prior to purchasing with these funds.
St Brigid's P&F also has a cattle fund where cattle are purchased by the P&F and agisted without cost by families from the school and community members. These cattle are then sold, without incurring costs from the local Coonamble Stock and Station Agents and all proceeds donated to the P&F. The careful management of this scheme has seen the P&F raise a significant amount of money.
